Level 2 Stylist
Amanda grew up in Oregon and loves doing hair in the community she was raised in. Amanda graduated from NW college school of beauty in February 2020 and started working at Ensemble as soon as the pandemic allowed salons to reopen.
Amanda went to Oregon State University for 6 years studying Human Development/Family Science with a focus on Child Development and Behavioral disabilities. While in beauty school, she worked as a behavioral therapist for children with autism and has always had a love for seeing families grow together and navigate their challenges. After doing this work for so long, she began to feel the weight of the challenges on her heart and knew it was time to focus on a more lighthearted career, so she jumped into hairstyling full time. She finds so much joy in helping people look and feel their best. She has now started the path to someday becoming a trainer within the Ensemble company and looks forward to using her teaching background in the beauty industry.
Amanda specializes in vivid/fantasy hair colors and all the steps that go along with that (blonding, dimensional color applications, etc), as well as color corrections.
When Amanda isn’t in the salon, you can find her chasing her 8-year-old step-son-to-be around the playground, playing video games with her fiancé, or hanging out with friends and family. Her house is typically chaos with constant nerf gun fights, two hyper kitties (Toothless and Shadow), and as much nerdy memorabilia as three people can accumulate.
